MateSaver® Safety Harness was invented because of the needless deaths of mates in the cockpit. Hopefully, this one of a kind, and only safety harness  offered for crew will prevent more deaths or near death situations from occurring while hunting for big game.

Accidents do not discriminate but that extra second to grab cutters or yell make the difference between life and death. Unfortunately these men did not have that extra second. This page is dedicated to them and to their families. Please take a moment and read their stories. Links provided for your convenience.

MateSaver® Safety Harness
is a vital piece of equipment in your cockpit. Most extreme professional sports enforce safety equipment. Why should Big Game fishing be any different?

The shoulder straps are made with the same seat belt material that you have in  your car. Why not practice safety in the cockpit?

Always be prepared for the unexpected.

Wayne Bisbee of The World Billfish Series:  “I am very familiar with your MateSaver® and AnglrSavr® and amongst those who think they’re awesome products. I grew up in Cabo watching sailfish and marlin of all sizes take the local (usually 125 lb. +/-) young mates for an unexpected swim.”

Subject: world records w/MateSaver

Just thought I'd let you folks know:
On 2/3/07 and2/07/07 two new world records were caught. Mens Pacific Blue Marlin on 12lb. fly (Enrico Capozzi) and womens Pacific Blue Marlin on 20lb. fly (Stacey Parkerson) with Capt. Scott Jones.

I would not have been able to gaff and hang on to these two fish without
MateSaver® harness. Both gaff shots the fish were deep and my hands were in the water. No way could I have stayed in "Spirit of Pilar II" without MateSaver®. Thanks-Jim Gates

AnglrSavr® Safety Fishing Harness presented by GameFace Gear

PURPOSE FOR ANGLERS

Wear while angling in the standup position        ONE SIZE FITS MOST            MSRP $148.45 USD

Restraining Ring on the back

AnglrSavr
® Safety Harness suits the angler that has no lower back concerns. The body of the harness is a traditional 12" kidney back support design.  This "tried and true" 12" kidney back support was perfected with the additional of a stainless steel Dee ring on the back for safety. The 12"x1" support panel contains marine-treated wood along with 1" closed cell foam padding. This padding is lightweight yet gives maximum support.

The shoulder straps are fully adjustable. The shoulder straps just like on the MateSaver
® - are made of the same seat belt material that you have in your car. You can cut  and then seal with a hot knife if you like. The elastic in back keeps the shoulder straps right where you want them to be - before, during and after the fight.

You don't need to buy drop straps to attach to the reel. AnglrSavr comes with drop straps for the reel. Consider purchasing GameFace DropStrap Kit if you want to attach your existing rod belt to the
AnglrSavr® Safety Harness.
